World Cup goalkeepers:
Capello will pick 3 goalkeepers for this World Cup. Contending for places are: Robert Green, David James, Ben Foster, Chris Kirkland, Joe Hart, Steve Harper and Paul Robinson. The obvious choice is David James but there are serious doubts about his fitness and he could easily not make the World Cup through injury. Robert Green will probably be chosen but there are doubts that he can't play at a high tempo. Ben Foster has a good chance if he recovers from the shambolic form he's in. Chris Kirkland? I doubt it unless we are having an injury crisis. Joe Hart has been outstanding for Birmingham in recent games and really should be picked. He is a great young keeper. Steve Harper is actually a serious contender for a place, the Newcastle goalie is a solid player. Paul Robinson has an ouside chance if he plays well for Blackburn.
My 3 picks:
David James (as long as he is fit)
Robert Green
Joe Hart
Reserve:
Ben Foster

  1. The great debate at the moment is whether Torres is a god or not. My suspicions are that he probably is, or perhaps will become one in Heracles fashion.

    Arsenal for the Premiership title?
