The Ballon d'Or

Messi has won the European footballer of the year by a huge margin, 473 points to Ronaldo's 233. Xavi came 3rd with 170 and Iniesta came 4th with 149. Samuel Eto'o came 5th with 75 and Kaka (he won it 2 years ago) came 6th with 58. Zlatan Ibrahamovic came 7th with 50 and Wayne Rooney was the best placed England international on the list as he came 8th with 35. The rest you can see on this list:

As you might have noticed, there are no Italian players on the list. This is probably a sign that the World Cup champions are starting to crumble. Fernando Torres should also be higher then 11th. In my opinion he's the best striker in the world not the 5th best. It's quite revealing.
