There wasn't much in this Carling Cup semi-final, with James Milner scoring the winner in the first half.

No need to mention anything about the FA Cup replay unless you really have to. Liverpool are now up a stinky creek without a stick. Torres, Gerrard and Benayoun all injured and a thoroughly depleted squad. Horrible, selfish, clueless American owners. Unhappy fans. I can't remember Liverpool being as bad as this at any stage in the last 35 years, not even under Graham Souness in the early 1990s.
